The Institute of Internal Auditors Belgium is very pleased to invite IFA members to its annual conference to be held this year on the theme: "The actual and future challenges for the internal auditor".

This event will take place on November 20, 2014 at the Cercle de Lorraine, Place Poelaert 6, 1000 Brussels. National and international news, more than ever, invites internal auditors to rethink, consolidate and rejuvenate about their practice of internal auditing. That is why IIA proposes in this conference a panel of prestigious speakers from many different sectors of industry and academia. This international panel of speakers will share their experiences on issues as fundamental as the development of the COSO model, the model of three lines of defense, the coordination of assurance functions, the audit strategy and quality assurance, not to mention the topics that are more and more in our focus such as cybercrime, developments at European level and the concept of integrated reporting.

Also, do not miss the debate led by Mr Paul D' Hoore , independent financial journalist. The participants to the debate will be : Marie Gemma Dequae, Scientific Advisor and Past President, Ferma and Belrim, Marc Pickeur, Expert-senior advisor in the prudential policy and financial stability, BNB/NBB and Rony Monnaie, Director Compliance Control and Risk, Bpost. This is the time and a great place to learn and discuss the present and future challenges affecting our profession.
